We're always looking for ways to give back, which is why we participate in a variety of events throughout the year, from charity to family fun. Here are just a few of the ways we've helped make a difference in the Sudbury community.
The Great Pumpkin Hunt - Kivi Park
We are proud to be the sponsor of one of Sudbury's biggest family Halloween events! In partnership with Kivi Park, our annual Great Pumpkin Hunt attracts thousands of families to the park to find hundreds of hidden pumpkins and participate in tons of other spook-tastic Halloween activities including the Spooky Story Trail Walk, Halloween Scavenger Hunt, and Freaky Family Photo Session.
Coat Drive
Throughout the month of November 2022, we partnered with Inner-City Home of Sudbury to collect winter apparel to distribute to vulnerable citizens in Sudbury. Our friends, family, and community members came together and donated approximately 1,300 total pieces of clothing, including winter coats, snow pants, hats, mittens, and boots, to help keep those in need warm during the cold winter months.
Christmas Sponsoring
We are incredibly passionate about giving back, and the holiday season is no exception. This year we were fortunate enough to sponsor 11 families as part of the Adopt-a-Family program, NOFCC, YWCA, and various schools to provide clothing, toys, and food to families in need in Sudbury.
Pros Vs. Joes Basketball Game
Our very own Tristan Ritchie teamed up with SocialRise and The Sudbury Five basketball team to bring on Pros Vs. Joes, a fundraising event for charities including NEO Kids Foundation, Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer (NOFCC), United Way, the Human League, and Sudbury Manitoulin Children's Foundation. Professional basketball players (pros) played a game against local celebrities and business owners (joes), and the event raised $35,000!
Easter Seals Sudbury Celebrity Hockey Classic
We are proud to have been a sponsor for the first Celebrity Hockey Classic in support of Easter Seals Sudbury! Team Lake City Realty, made up of mostly women, hit the ice with NHL superstars to raise funds for children and youth with physical disabilities. We helped surpass the goal to raise $80,000; a total of $105,000 was raised!
Freed From Need - Christmas Dinners
In 2021, we partnered with Freed From Need to help provide vulnerable families in Sudbury with Christmas dinners. We successfully reached our goal of raising $2,000, and were able to purchase Christmas dinners for 25 families!
